In
1990, Ingersoll-Dresser, now Flowserve, had a requirement to develop
and build a state of the art manufacturing plant designed to increase
market share within the oil & Gas, chemical, power, hydrocarbon
processing and water resources industries. At the time, this manufacturing
plant needed the capability to design, manufacture and test their complete
line of vertical and horizontal pumps capable of handling a wide range
of flows and pressures. The facility requirements called for 25,000
square feet of office space (engineering and research and development),
multiple 20 feet deep concrete test pits, and the entire facility needed
to be air-conditioned.
Out of several nationally recognized development firms, Ellis-Gibson
was competitively selected to develop Ingersoll-Dresser’s pump
manufacturing plant because of our unique ability to: (1) satisfy all
of the manufacturing and office space requirements; (2) guarantee project
completion within an aggressive six month timeline; and (3) provide
a solid financial structure yielding a fair and reasonable price to
Ingersoll-Dresser.
Ellis-Gibson successfully completed the development of the Ingersoll-Dresser
facility on schedule and within budget. Over the years, this facility
has supported the engineering and development, of vertical and horizontal
pumps for many industrial market segments, including the oil & gas,
chemical, power, hydrocarbon processing and water resources industries.
